Analogous >> SXSW 2020
Analogous founder and CCO Fanny Krivoy is joining some of the most exciting voices in inclusive design, workplace inclusion, and innovation and are represented in two panel discussions for consideration in the upcoming South By Southwest 2020 Conference. This amazing event brings together diverse voices and interests around building a hopeful future in tech, business, the arts, and society. If you’ve never attended, we urge you to make this the year you do (while you still can!); if you’re not able to do so, the content of SXSW’s amazing panel discussions past and present are widely available online.
Though the conference is still more than 6 months away, maintaining the excellence of an event like this requires a dizzying level of logistical planning, and as such, the window to have panel discussions selected for the conference closes August 23!
That’s why we’re calling on the Analogous community to help us make sure these two panel discussions are selected for this year’s SXSW lineup.
You don’t need to attend SXSW to vote! Anyone can create an account and cast a vote for any number of panel discussions- you just need to care about making sure the promise of inclusive design and workplace diversity is carried to the broadest audience possible, and that informed, positive, and representative voices are heard.
Inclusive Design – A New Frontier in the Age of AI
Makes the economic and moral case that the further advancement of AI, already proceeding at an incredibly pace, requires a renewed commitment to ensuring the values of inclusive design inform this progress. The near future of tech promises amazing benefits, and through a philosophy of inclusive design, we can ensure no human is left behind.
Frances West, author and founder of Frances West Co., Nicola Palmarini, Ethics AI Lead & Program Manager at MIT-IBM Watson AI LAB, and Dorrie Rush, Chief Content Officer at OEPatients.org will join me in presenting and exploring the imperatives of inclusion-centered AI development and ways we can begin to embrace this approach now, in concrete ways.

Human First In Tech: How to Operationalize Inclusion
Rolls up our sleeves and responds to the groundswell of interest both public and private in inclusivity in tech with the question: what now? Interest in inclusive design and commitments to diversity in the market and workplace have never been higher- but making real gains in these areas requires concrete, actionable policy and a real discussion of the benefits and necessity.
Frances West will moderate this panel as well, and I will be accompanied by Solange Charas, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of HC Moneyball and Stela Lupushor, Chief-Reframer of ReFrame.Work and founder of amazing.community.
